Overview

PASG Projects provide end-to-end project management services in the construction industry. Working primarily with strata managers, owners' committees, and body corporates, they specialise in building inspections and remediation.

Involved in every stage of a project—from inspections and scoping to tendering, contractor engagement, and project supervision—PASG ensures work progresses while mitigating variations, certifying monthly progress claims, and keeping residents and other stakeholders informed. Already leveraging advanced technology, PASG integrates 3D imaging and AI-driven software to enhance building assessments and remediation processes. To sustain their busy schedule and maintain a commitment to innovation, they saw value in adopting a reliable and powerful system to act as the backbone of their operations.

Having previously used UniPhi’s practice management features, they recognised our software’s potential as a fully integrated software, to support them as an enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution. UniPhi is an award-winning, cloud-based project and portfolio management system known for its flexible user-friendly interface and powerful configuration options.

Challenges

Prior to implementing UniPhi software, PASG managed projects using a combination of spreadsheets and standalone reporting tools. This fragmented approach created separate processes for financials and project insights and made consolidating data complex.

As PASG expanded, their growing project portfolio demanded more centralised and streamlined solutions. By leveraging UniPhi’s ERP capabilities, they transitioned to a fully integrated, cloud-based system that improved financial accuracy, standardised workflows, and provided real-time project insights.

Key challenges included:

  • Multiple Systems: Project data was dispersed across multiple systems, prompting a need for consolidation.

  • Manual Admin: Financial tracking, invoicing, and reporting required significant manual effort across teams.

  • More Project Visibility: A centralised solution to track performance, manage risk, and enhance transparency.

  • Inconsistent Processes: Inconsistent procedures highlighted the need to standardise workflows across varying scopes of work.

  • Branded Timesheets and Revenue Invoices: A single system to submit and export branded revenu

Solutions

Ensuring alignment with PASG’s business objectives, the UniPhi team maximised the deployment to deliver full system benefits. A key focus was customising account codes to meet PASG’s financial tracking needs. Using our "Copy-Paste" data import methodology, over 130 active projects were successfully migrated into UniPhi.

UniPhi also transformed PASG’s invoicing model. Previously, bulk invoicing often led to undercharging and lost revenue. By switching to a time-based billing system, PASG improved financial accuracy, significantly reduced revenue leakage, and ensured they were properly compensated. Invoices are now supported by detailed reporting generated within UniPhi

Key deployment benefits include:

1. Centralised Financial Tracking

  • Project Cost Management: UniPhi replaced manual Excel-based registers with real-time financial dashboards.

  • Automated and Structured Financials: Revenue forecasting and cashflow management now run through UniPhi’s structured system.

2. Invoicing and Revenue Management

  • Xero Integration for Automated Invoicing: Branded revenue invoices are now processed quickly and accurately.

  • Time-Based Billing: Supported a reduction in revenue leakage through billing based on actual hours worked.

Conclusion

PASG’s decision to fully integrate UniPhi as their enterprise resource planning system was driven by their commitment to delivering high-quality services while scaling operations. Through collaborative deployment, PASG not only streamlined its core business processes but also demonstrated its support for Australian software innovation.
